No, since its a fairytale you knew the two who loved each other would end up together.
Some suspenseful parts of this movie were when Humperdink turned up the torture device up to 50, and when Buttercup was waiting for Westley to save her at the wedding. A realistic part of this movie is the grandfather reading a story to his grandson. A humorous part of this movie is when Westley switched the cups with a man who thought he was so smart. A romantic part of this is when Buttercup and Westley kiss once they're finally together.
When I was young my mother would read the Giving Tree to me, and I recently reread it. I used to enjoy all types of books, but my favorite were fairy tales.
In this movie, I identified most with everyone who died because I am too, dead inside.
Yes, the portrayal of Butter is misogynistic is all the women in The Princess bride, because all they do is wait around for someone to save them. A Few stereotypes in this movie about masculinity is that all the men in the movie were portrayed as athletic and at least somewhat brave. The qualities of good men in this movie are brave, athletic, and smart.
I do think it's acceptable to use these characters in movies. This is because it can help raise awareness to such diseases. Although I think they shouldn't be defined by their on screen appearance, many do define people by such things.
If a character goes through hard times but still successfully completed their goal, I think it helps to show their perseverance because it shows their follow through and dedication. I think to be truly motivated you have to want it yourself. I think internal motivation is most important because you can always make something you really want happen.
I did find this scene funny. I didn't feel comfortable laughing, because it could be something the actor could not change.
I believe that Westly was best at outsmarting people, and his wits were also the best.
I think Inigo and Fezzik team up with Westly later because they admire his smarts and ability to beat both of them. I do not think they actually change throughout the movie though.
I think it's crueler to leave someone alive in pain than to kill them, because they'll be in emotional pain as well physical.
The tale within a tale makes you think about what Westly did during his time between finding buttercup. I do think is he the same farm boy from the beginning, he just has more experience.
I think that The Princess Bride should be categorized as fantasy. The title is ironic, because it implies a girl married a prince and it's a simple love story. Although a girl does marry a prince, it is not just a plain and simple love story
