Movie Ending of my choice

In the ending of Cinderella, Cinderella pulled out the other glass slipper which proved she was the mystery girl. Then, her and the prince got married and lived happily ever after. This is an explicit ending. An alternative ending to Cinderella could've been the kingdom got overthrown by the evil stepmother and stepsisters. This type of ending could be Unresolved, because you don't know if the Prince and Cinderella live. This would make the film less of a fairy tale about romance and more of a tale about horror.
